| Abstract | Industrial production environments are increasingly characterized by interconnected equipment, automated operations, high-volume data generation, and rapidly changing production requirements. Predictive analytics provides an important technological capability for transforming industrial data into forward-looking information that can support production optimization. By combining statistical methods, machine learning, industrial Internet of Things technologies, data mining, and advanced computational techniques, predictive analytics can identify production patterns, anticipate equipment failures, estimate process performance, and support proactive operational decisions. This paper examines the application of predictive analytics for optimizing industrial production processes and evaluates its contribution to productivity, quality, maintenance, resource utilization, and operational flexibility. A conceptual and analytical methodology is employed to synthesize established research concerning predictive analytics, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, industrial data analysis, and intelligent production systems. The analysis demonstrates that predictive analytics can improve production planning by identifying expected demand and process requirements, while predictive maintenance models can anticipate equipment degradation and reduce unplanned downtime. Process-oriented analytics can also identify deviations in production parameters and support timely corrective actions. The integration of Industrial IoT infrastructure enables continuous data collection, while edge and cloud computing provide computational capabilities for real-time and historical analysis. Despite these benefits, implementation is affected by data quality, interoperability, cybersecurity, computational complexity, model interpretability, and workforce capability. The study concludes that predictive analytics can provide a strong foundation for proactive industrial production management when appropriately integrated with manufacturing infrastructure and human decision-making. Future development should emphasize real-time predictive systems, explainable analytics, adaptive machine learning, digital twins, and autonomous production optimization. Effective implementation requires a balanced approach that combines analytical intelligence with reliable data infrastructure, organizational readiness, cybersecurity, and continuous model validation. |
